Viral predictor
Predict if a video will go viral
A viral predictor estimates how a short video is likely to perform from the video itself. Viral IQ does this on your iPhone before you post: it watches the whole TikTok, Reel or Short and predicts how many viewers will keep watching, how they are likely to engage and what to change to improve the odds.
What it predicts
| Prediction | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Viral score (0 to 100) | Overall readiness of the video to spread. |
| Hook score (0 to 100) | How well the first seconds stop the scroll. |
| Retention forecast | Share of viewers still watching at 25%, 50%, 75% and the end, plus average watch time. |
| Engagement forecast | Expected like, comment, save and share rates. |
| Rewatch and scroll-away risk | How likely people are to watch again, or swipe away early. |
Why predict before posting
Short-video platforms test a new video with a small audience first. The early reaction decides whether it reaches more people. After posting, you can only learn from the result. Before posting, you can still fix the slow opening, the late payoff or the missing call to action.
What it cannot predict
The prediction is made from the video and your channel details. It cannot see your posting time, what else is trending that hour, or luck. Use it to find weak spots and to compare edits, not as a promise of views.

Questions
Is there an app that predicts if a video will go viral?
Yes. Viral IQ is an iPhone app that predicts a short video's viral potential before you post it, with a viral score, hook score, retention forecast and engagement forecast.
How accurate is a viral predictor?
It is an estimate. It is good at spotting what usually costs views, like a slow start. No predictor can guarantee views.
Does it work for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?
Yes, all three. The notes are written for the platform you pick.
